Moncton, NB – Victor Laforest, 85, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
Born in Saint-Malo, QC, he was the son of the late François and late Josephine Laforest (born Laflamme).
He was employed at CNR as Carman for 35 years. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, and also he was volunteering at East and Boys Club for 20 years.
Victor will be sadly missed by his wife, Jeannita Laforest of Moncton; his four sons, Jacques Laforest (Irène) of Shediac, Michel Laforest (Carla), Daniel Laforest (Susie) both of Dieppe and Roland Laforest of Moncton; his brother, Jean-Guy of Valley Field, QC; his four grandchildren, Mylène, François, Rachel and André; his great granddaughter, Ella; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Lucien, Charles-Eugène and Roland; also by five sisters, Marguerite, Lise, Françoise, Thérèse and Jeannette.
As per Victor’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral Service will be held at Christ-Roi RC Church, (300 Dominion St, Moncton, NB), on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 11am.
Donations can be made to CHU Dumont Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
