Fernande Couture
1929-2019
Fernande Couture, 90, of Saint-Antoine and formerly of Bouctouche,
passed away peacefully at the UHC Dr Georges-L. Dumont, Moncton on
Wednesday September 11, 2019. She was married to the late Elzéar
Couture (2004). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late
Daniel and the late Emma (Goguen) Collette.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Rosella Collette (Raymond
LeBlanc) of Dieppe, her son Jean-Claude of Toronto, three
grandchildren; Alain (Tina), Nadine and Stephane, as well as two great
grandchildren; Chloé and Patrick. She also leaves to mourn her
two sisters; Laurise Fournelle of Beauport, QC, Cécile Francis of
Bouctouche, her brother John (Noella) of Bouctouche and several
nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one daughter; Louise, one grandson, Julien,
three sisters; Aldéa, Hermélia, Marie and five brothers:
Donel, Ami, Gerald and two in infancy.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Monday September 16, from 7 to 9
and on Tuesday from 12:30 to 2:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated
at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on
Tuesday September 17, 2019 at 3:00 pm, with interment in the parish
cemetery.
In Fernande’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart &
Stroke Foundation or to the Bouctouche Food Bank.
