COWEN Dorothy Jean of Grand Bend

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Cowen. Surrounded by her family, at Jessica’s House, Exeter, on July 6, 2019, at the age of 85. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Ted and Jean (Francis) Pooley. She is lovingly remembered by her partner of 20 years Kevin Delbridge, her children Debbie and John Haddow, Crystel Cowen, Rodney Cowen and Barb Onstadt, and David and Becky Cowen, her brother Bob and Audrey Pooley, and sister-in-law Renee and the late Peter Cowen. Dorothy will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, shared grandchildren, and many wonderful friends, all of whom she loved dearly. Her family and friends meant everything to her. The family wishes to thank Dr. Patel, the staff of South Huron Hospital, Dr. Lam, and the staff and volunteers of Jessica’s House for the kindness, compassion, and comfort shown to Dorothy and her family during the last weeks of her life.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, EXETER on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 1 – 3 PM.
Donations to Jessica’s House in her memory would be appreciated by the family.
