William Bill MacNeill 1932 2019

Obituary of William MacNeill
MacNEILL, Bill
Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Life Care Centre, Brantford, on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in his 87th year. Born in Freeport, Nova Scotia, Bill left in his late teens. Following in his father’s footsteps, Bill started his work career in 1953 at JB Marlatt Funeral Home in Hamilton. In the 1960’s he ventured in to real estate at Kronas Real Estate in Hamilton and in the early 1970’s he worked at Bravo Cement until his retirement. Bill leaves behind his wife Donna of 33 years. Loved father of Philip (Cheryl), their children Shane, Kyle and Jordan, daughter Karen (Len), their children Eric and Kristen (Bryan). Great-grandfather of Alison and Bridget. Bill will be missed by his brother Blair of Guelph. Predeceased by his sister Venna of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. By motorcycle, together Bill and Donna enjoyed traveling often to his birthplace in Freeport. Sadly, Alzheimer’s changed all of that, but with the love and continued care of his wife and children, those difficult years were spent with dignity. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 4-7pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society, St. Joseph’s Life Care Centre Brantford or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
