Passed peacefully away
at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Thursday, August
22nd, 2019, WILLIAM J.
DRAKE of Burin in his 85th year.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are
his sister, Lillian Gofus of Middleton, Pennsylvania; brothers,
Michael Drake (Marilyn) of Glace Bay, and Basil Drake (Betty) of
Burin; sister-in-law, Regis Oquinn of Kippens; plus a large circle of
family and friends. William was pre-deceased by his parents
Basil & Rosanna Drake; sisters, Isabel Furhram and Winnie
Haire; and brothers, Issac and Leslie Drake.
The Drake Family will be
accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes, Salt Pond on
Thursday, August 22nd from 7pm to 9pm; and
Friday, August 23rd from 10am to 9pm with a
prayer vigil being held at 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial
will take place at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in
Burin on Saturday, August 24th at 9:30
am.
Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic
in Fox Cove.
In William’s memory, in lieu of
flowers donations may be made to the Burin SPCA.
