1940-2019
Virginia Marcella Rector – age 79, of New Minas, passed away
on Friday, August 16, 2019 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.
Born on June 9, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and
Florence (Greenlund) McInnis. Virginia was employed throughout the
Annapolis Valley at various jobs. In particular, she was a
self-employed Pomeranian dog breeder. She is survived by a daughter,
Diane (Richard) Schofield, White Rock; three sons, Jody Rector (Jodie
Callahan), Halifax; Mark (Cheryl) Rector, Black River and Don McInnis,
Port Alice, BC; a sister, Carlotta (Paul) Comeau, New Minas; brother,
Eric (Viola) McInnis, New Minas; nine grandchildren, 17 great
grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a
sister, Alva Chase and a brother, Ernest McInnis.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 1:00
p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August
25, 2019 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Dorothy
Huntley officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the
Black River Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and
Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements
have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Kentville.
