Trevor Owen Smith, age 85, passed away at Spruce Lodge on August 17, 2019. He was born and raised in Hamilton, son of Percival and Elva (Pryke) Smith. Baseball was his passion leading to two of his teams being OBA champions. Trevor also umpired for the Intercounty Baseball League for many seasons. He was involved in St. Paul’s Anglican Church and the B.A.C. Trevor is survived by his wife, Beverley (Moulton), children Craig and Althea Smith, Gayle and Gary Mark. Grandpa was very proud of Mackenzie and Megan Mark, Isabel and Isaac Smith. Also survived by his youngest sister Ruth Ricca and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by family members; Bernice, Joan, Rita Smith, Lloyd and Betty Smith, Joyce and Bill O’Neill, Derwyn and Mary Smith and Guido Ricca. Trevor will be remembered by Bev’s family Marilyn and Lorne Brady, Ralph and Brenda Moulton and nieces and nephews. Trevor’s family wishes to thank the staff at Spruce Lodge for their care and compassion. At Trevor’s request cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations made in memory of Trevor to the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Food Bank or Alzheimer Society of Perth County would be appreciated and may be made through the W.G.
