Thomas McMullin Williams whispered “I love you” to his beloved family before slipping away, peacefully, after a three month battle with brain cancer, on August 21, 2019. His love for people is his legacy. His focus was “What can I do for you?”
Thomas was born in Lethbridge, AB on February 10, 1938 to Karl and Fern Williams. He grew up as a Cardston farm boy and treasured simple things such as the outdoors, family gatherings and “hob-nobbing” with friends. His love for the Lord shaped his life. He served in The Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints as a missionary, home teacher, and temple worker, and in various callings all his life. He will be dearly missed by his wife, of 53 years, Patricia; his children Richard, Andrew (Bronwyn), Tanya (Todd), Catherine (Michael); his siblings Kay-deceased (Shirley), Alan (Venice), Jean (Alma), Ann (Kerry); and 16 wonderful grandchildren. His famous words will echo on “Have I told you lately that I love you!” He meant it every time.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, KNIGHT STREET CHAPEL, 260E, 200N, Raymond with Bishop Ryan Chipman officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment held in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
