August 18, 1971 – August 18, 2019
With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Steve at the age of 48.
Although the grief runs deep and wide, a sense of comfort is found knowing Steve passed away doing what he loved in the mountains on his final adventure.
Beloved father, son, brother, nephew and uncle. Predeceased by his mother Patty Tanner, survived by his father Ron Tanner, sister Veronica Tanner (Mike), brother Brad Tanner (Barb), son Austin Tanner, son Riley Tanner, daughter Presley Tanner, and youngest son Bowdrie Tanner. Nephews Cody Tanner, Brandon Tames, Jesse Tanner, niece Kayce Tanner and great nephew Hendrik Tanner.
Steve touched so many people through his work and adventurous life. Not only does he leave his family to mourn but many, many friends as well.
Steve’s service is to be held at McPherson’s Funeral Home in Cranbrook on September 14, 2019 at 2 p.m.
A reception will follow to celebrate Steve at Ron Tanner’s. The family invites friends to come with a story, as so many will have one.
