Ronald’s Obituary
It is with sorrow and deepest regret that we share with you the death of our beloved father, Ronald Biggin at the WMR Hospital in Corner Brook. NL on Monday, August 12, 2019 aged 88 years.
He was born in Daniels Harbour on April 19, 1931 and was avid fisherman and hunter.
He is predeceased by his wife of 49 years Regina Biggin, parents Hannah & Thomas Biggin, Brother Melvin Biggin, Sister Verna Timmons and Son in law Calvin Decker.
He was the proud father of 9 children, Lewis (Marie), Romaine (peter), Sharon, Rhonda, Darciene (Barry), Ronika (Ron), Michael (Jocelyn), Jonathan (Inez), Donovan (Jada), 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren. They also fostered 12 children over the years, and two became very special to the family Gilda and Carolyn.
The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Wednesday, Aug 14th, 2019, from the hours of 7 – 9 pm. In keeping with Ronald’s wishes cremation will take place. The memorial service will take place at 2:00 pm, on Friday August 16th, 2019, at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, with Roy Foster officiating. Following the service He will be buried beside his beloved wife Regina at the family plot in Daniels Harbour, NL.
We would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at WMRH, Dr Blackwood, Dr Dunn, Dr Laferty and the exceptional care at the Palliative Care unit. Special Home Care Worker, Krista Young and also the staff at Deer Lake Manor, many thanks to all. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
