La célébration de
Raymond Walsh
13 octobre 1940 –
4 août 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Raymond on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at Humber River Hospital at the age of 78 after a long and complex illness. Raymond of Etobicoke was the loving husband of Joyce Walsh for over 60 years. Beloved father of Michael, Dawn and Lindsey. Cherished Grandad of Michael Jr., Matthew, Connor and Shelby. Caring father-in-law to Anita, John and Jordan. He will also be missed by his many friends who enjoyed his sharp wit and storytelling. Raymond and Joyce came to Canada in 1966 from England to raise their family. Raymond was a respected mechanical contractor working all over Ontario for over 40 years, many of those with his son Michael by his side. He loved getting all the answers right on Jeopardy, watching soccer and golf, music, a good plate of fish and chips, fiddling with his iPad. But most of all he loved his wife Joyce who cared for him all these years. In his youth, Raymond was in a band called ‘The Doodlebugs’ who played with many iconic bands including The Rolling Stones, these were some of his best stories.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 9 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with a chapel service to follow at 3:00 p.m. If desired, a donation to Diabetes Canada or Heart & Stroke Foundation in his honour would be appreciated.
