Phyllis Armstrong

It is with sadness and love that the family of Phyllis Louise Armstrong announce her passing on August 29, 2019, at Medicine Hat, AB. Phyllis was born in Vegreville, AB, on June 23, 1946, to parents, Paul and Anne Gresuik. She grew up near Viking with sister, Betty and brother, Gordon. Phyllis worked for the Bank of Montreal for 42 years until her retirement in 2017. Maple Creek was where Phyllis worked the majority of her career, where she moved to be with her husband, Wayne, whom she married in 1988. She had a unique relationship with all of her clients and they tended to follow her with their friendship and banking needs. She had a strong connection with many ranchers and hutterite colonies, who became family to Phyllis. Phyllis loved her job. Her life outside of work was enjoyed spending time with family and supporting her grandchildren at their activities. Phyllis is lovingly remembered by husband, Wayne Armstrong; son, John (Stacey) McBain; and grandchildren, Marty and Tate of Medicine Hat; daughter, Susan, of Calgary; and sister Betty and family of Edmonton. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Wednesday, September 4th, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. David J. Carter, officiant. Reception to follow at 12423 Range Road 70.
