Pearl Daniels

Obituary of Pearl Daniels
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pearl Ruby Daniels on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw. Pearl at the age of 89 was predeceased by her beloved husband Steve (1999), 8 brothers and sisters, and one step-brother. She will be lovingly missed by her children Don (Pat), Helen Ursu (Don); by her 4 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by 2 step-brothers and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Pearl was born to Walter and Anna Sipchenko in the Assiniboia area on July 27, 1930. She grew up attending school in Readlyn. She married Steve Daniels from the Kayville area on March 6, 1948 and the couple began their family together in Ormiston. Their home was a hub of activity, especially musical activity where they hosted many impromptu jam sessions; her guitar playing and singing was appreciated by many. They were very community minded and were involved in most events in the Ormiston/Kayville area, if not the driving force behind it. After Steve’s retirement they moved to Regina for a brief time before calling Moose Jaw home in 1986. They were very content to stay in Moose Jaw most of the time, but loved to go camping, especially when the grandchildren were involved. Being very artistic, Pearl became known for her wonderful paintings of rural grain elevators, and it wasn’t long before her paintings were in high demand all over Saskatchewan. A Celebration of Pearl’s Life will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St. West, Moose Jaw at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome. There will be a private family interment immediately following the service at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Pearl’s memory to a charity of your choosing. In living memory of Pearl a memorial tree planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services. Please see our online book of condolences at www.parkviewfuneralchapel.ca and www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries). Blair Scott, Funeral Director.
