The family of Pearl Richardson, 94, of South Bar, regret to
announce her passing on Thursday August 1, 2019 at the Northside
General Hospital.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Donald John
and Annie (Morrison) Johnston.
Pearl was a member of Trinity United Church and then the
United Baptist Church. She was a CGIT and Explorer Leader. She was the
pay clerk at the General Office, office manager at Harbour Aluminum,
and sales clerk at Jacobson’s Ladies Wear. Pearl enjoyed
travelling and spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughters Dale MacDonald, Arlene
(Nelson) Watt, Merle Richardson, all of South Bar, Ruth (Dan)
Morrison, Sydney, sons Fred (Karen) and Donnie (Genevieve), both of
South Bar, grandchildren Ainsley, Drew, Kim, Jamie, Ashley, Vraya,
Deirdre, Kenzie, Holly, Angus, Will and Anna, great-grandchildren,
Duggan, Elsie, Miles, Alka, Gus, Rosie, Aldrina, Brett, Cameron,
Harper, and Josie.
She was predeceased by her husband Merritt, sisters Margaret
Sedgwick, Irene Johnston, Helen Morrison, brothers Everett, Donald and
son-in-law Andy MacDonald.
Visitation will be held Sunday August 4, 2019 from 4-7 pm in
Sydney Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will take place Monday August
5, at 11 am in the Chapel with Rev. Allan MacLellan officiating.
Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Northside Community Guest Home,
or Palliative Care at the Northside General Hospital.
