Obituary of Pauline Simons
SIMONS, Pauline
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at NHS-St. Catharines on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of 58 years to the late Michael. Loving mother of Wayne (Nancy) Simons, Carole (Brian) Mullen, Michelle (Steven) Burrows and Alain (Heather) Simons. Cherished Memere to Blake, Katrina, Zackary, Jeffrey, Kathryn, Paul, Michael, Billy and Johnathon (Erica). Great Memere to Marshal, Thedore and Caroline. Dear sister to Claudette (Ghislain) Lachapelle, sister-in-law to Jemma (Andy) Duguay, Jack (Patricia) Simons, Jacqueline (the late Fern) Harrisson, Paulette (Craig) Salewski, Marcel Simons, the late Diane (Andy) Rouleau. Much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Pauline was retired from Towers for over 27 years. Pauline will be remembered for her love of the Toronto Blue Jays, great cooking and especially for her banana cream pie and in a pan. Pauline was a feisty, loving woman that loved her family very much.
Special thanks to her personal support worker Buena Garnace who took such wonderful care of our mother. Her love and passion will always be remembered.
In keeping with Pauline’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Thursday, August 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service for Pauline will take place on Friday, August 23 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home ceremony room. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital (Lung Clinic).
To honour Pauline’s love for the Blue Jays, please feel free to wear Blue Jays apparel on the day of the visitation (Thursday).
