Obituary of Patrick Joseph Gambin
Pat Gambin slipped his moorings from the dock of Life and sailed off towards the sunrise with his beloved family waving good-bye.
Patrick Joseph Gambin of Placentia, formerly of St. Anne’s aged 81.
Leaving behind, on land, were his devoted wife, of over 52 years, Marina (Power) Gambin, loving daughter Sherry Gambin Walsh, (Jud), son Sean Gambin , Markland, precious granddaughter, Victoria (Dylan Rushing) Ruston, Louisiana, and special grandson Craig Walsh. Also left behind are his siblings, Winnie Ryan (John, deceased), Kyran Gambin (Madeline, deceased) friend Lena, Bertha Pitcher (Garf, deceased), in-laws Jean Philpott (Eugene), Cathy Brake (Rube), Noreen Careen (Albert), Aiden Power (Sandra), Terry Power (Bev), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pat was predeceased by his parents John and Jane Gambin, his sister, Frances, in-laws Agnes and John Power and brother-in-law Reg Power.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations maybe made in his name to the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Restin at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Sunday, September 1st, from 7:00 – 9:00, and Monday September 2nd from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00.
Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, September 3rd, from our Lady of Angels Roman Catholic Church, Placentia at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery,
