MILDRED MARIE HUFF
(nee KASTNER)
June 30, 1922 – August 26, 2019
With heavy hearts we announce that after 97 short years, a great lady has gone to be with God and many angels. Mildred passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Monday, August 26, 2019.
Mildred is survived by her children Greg (Susan), Lorna Barr, Myles (Louis), Curtis (Beryl); along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill); daughter Judith Marie; her only granddaughter Ellie Louise Huff who passed away 4 years earlier on the same day, August 26, 2015; and foster sons Billy Squires and Cameron Richard.
Mildred was born and raised in Morris, Manitoba. She married William (Bill) at the age of 21 and became the center of the Huff family. Mildred was a full-time homemaker and between raising children, entertaining friends, traveling, volunteer work, and her various hobbies there was little time to work outside of the home. She was also an avid watcher of sports; curling was her favorite.
Mildred had many friends and cherished them all. We, her children, would like to thank all of her friends for their friendship and support over the years.
We, her children, will forever be grateful for the unconditional love and guidance she gave us throughout our lives. The love was always, the guidance sometimes was a wooden spoon.
As per the wishes of our mother, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and a private immediate family internment will take place at a later date.
