Mary Lou Larry

The passing of Mary “Lou” Larry wife of Daniel Bartibogue of Esgenoôpetitj occurred on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, NB at the age of 53. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse Breau and Evelyn Larry. Mary Lou worked in Child and Family Services and was a volunteer within the community with youth. She was a coach as well as a mentor.
Mary Lou is survived by: foster daughter: Lana Larry-Dedam; sisters: Kathleen Larry; Carolyn Larry (Desmond Dedam) all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; Darlene Joe of Massachusetts, USA; eight brothers: Stephen Paul (Florence) of Metepenagiag, NB; David Larry (Joanne) of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; Hal Larry (Denis Robichaud) of Neguac, NB; Jim Mutch (Julie) of Dartmouth, NS; Shawn Rodney Larry; Wendell Larry (Kimberly Dedam) of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; Allan Larry of Airdrie, AB; Roger Lee Dedam (Karen Somerville) of Tabusintac, NB; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary Lou is predeceased by: her adopted parents: Margaret Dedam and Mike Augustine; brothers: Timmy Bonnell and Robert Jordan.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Esgenoôpetitj, NB, on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11 AM with Father Anthony Dass Papu officiating.
In Mary Lou’s memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
