Mary Duffy

The death of Mary Elizabeth Duffy, wife of the late Lawrence Duffy of Renous, NB, occurred on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 105. Born in White Rapids, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose (Stewart) Duffy. Mary was a homemaker, member of St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church and former member of the CWL.
Mary is survived by: three daughters: Ruth Hogan (Emmett) of Renous, NB; Joan Tucker (Milton) of White Rapids, NB; Karen Donovan (Hubert) of Renous, NB; three sons: Cletus (Anne Marie) of Etobicoke, ON; Merlin (Lorraine) of White Rapids, NB; Barry (Wendy) of Fredericton, NB; 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Mary is predeceased by: two daughters: Anne Duffy and Cecilia Sturgeon; one son: Aloysius Duffy; sisters: Christina and Sarah and brothers: Bryan and Charles.
A public Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday at 11 AM with Father Dan Bastarache officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
In Mary’s memory, donations may be made to the Diabetic Association.
