Martha Anne Goreham

Martha’s Obituary
GOREHAM, Martha Anne – 84, Clark’s Harbour, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Bayside Home, on August 23, 2019. Born in Clark’s Harbour, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle and Cecil Swimm. In her younger years, she enjoyed basketball and bowling. For over fifty years, she loved the weekly get-togethers with her beloved “card party gang” for a friendly, but very competitive, game of 45’s or Rummoli. Although she loved playing cards, nothing compared to the joy she got from seeing her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Martha is survived by her children, Jerry (Susie) Goreham, Patrick (Gail) Goreham, Louann (Kempton) Goreham, Sandy (Deborah) Goreham; and “son”, Rickey; grandchildren, Dougie, Jessica, Jannah, Kirstie, Josie, Justin; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Brody, Jayce, Lennox, Spencer, Kaymen; and sister, Marylou (Rozie). Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Andrew and Clifford. There will be a visitation Monday, August 26, from 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 27, at 2 p.m. at the United Baptist Stone Church, Clark’s Harbour, with Rev. Neal Smith officiating. It has been requested there be family flowers only. Memorial donations in her name may be made to, the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund or to the Bayside Van Fund, or a charity of choice. Online condolences may be sent to huskilson@ns.aliantzinc.ca or you may sign the guest book at www.huskilson.net
