Hodder, Marilyn Gertrude,78, Hebron, passed away August 4, 2019 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Truro, April 5,1941 she was a daughter to the late Cyril and Gertrude Stokes. Marilyn was a substitute schoolteacher and volunteer with Maple Grove, Hebron Elementary and Meadow Fields Schools for 40 years until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her good friends Cheryl Arsenault, Elsa Maan and Craig Lombard. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Mark) Surette, Hebron; son Kevin (Cecilia) Hodder, Berwick; grandchildren Marc, Corey (Jesse Manser), Ryan (Zoee Bowers), Stanton; great granddaughter Morghan; sister Sheilah Fraeser, Penticton, BC., and Buddy the dog. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Joseph and brother Cedric Stokes. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. As per request there will be no funeral or visitation at this time. Interment in the Riverside Cemetery, Hebron. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army Church or Canadian Diabetes Associating of Canada.
