Margaret Meyer, (nee Fitzgerald) born September 5, 1921, precious mother, grandparent, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Wednesday, July 31 at Brampton Civic Hospital with her family at her side. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Joseph and her parents Elizabeth and Clarence Fitzgerald.
Margaret was the loving mother of Gayle McAllister (Bob), Ken Meyer (Julia), Colleen Ciceri (Herb), and Janice Cattle (Dave).
She was dearly loved by her grandchildren, Kevin McAllister (Teri), Joanne McCracken (Ken), Laurie McAllister (Paul Scott), Jeff Meyer (Carrie), Ryan Ciceri (Kristen), Matt Ciceri (Aina), Amanda Cattle, Gillian Cattle, and by her great grandchildren Hannah, Nathan, Owen, Liam, Nicholas, Katie, Isabella, Trevor, Blake and Caleigh.
Margaret was predeceased by her dear brothers Wilfred and Clarence Fitzgerald, and is survived by her beloved sisters Dorothy Ganton (Al), Shirley McKellar (Ed), and her many nieces and nephews.
Margaret Meyer embodied fierce love and loyalty of family, and possessed a profound inner strength of character and will. Known for her generosity and remarkable memory, Margaret was a life long learner who enjoyed researching on her computer, discussing current events, and immersing herself in her favourite music.
A role model, an inspiration, and cherished gift to family and friends, Margaret will be sorely missed.
