Lily’s Obituary
The families of Lily Isabel Perry (nee Collett) of Daniel’s Hr are sad to announce her passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Long term care unit, in Port Saunders, NL, on Saturday, August 17th, 2019 at the age of 88 years.
She leaves to mourn with loving and precious memories her daughters; Dorcas (Ernest) Pearce, Sheila (Alvin) House, and Bertha (Rod) Brophy, and a daughter of her heart Sadie May, her grandchildren; Cathy (Graham), Dallas (Tina), Nicole (Steve),Tobi, Veronica, Colette (Yancy), Amanda (Brian), Dion (Natalie), and Melissa (Jeff), her great grandchildren; Chole, Rachel, Kyle, Kallie, Cyndi (Mason), Lucas, Cami, Victoria, and Nathan, her great great grandchildren; Kane and Liam, her brothers; Fred (Olive), and Neil (Margaret), brothers-in-law; Wheeler (Mae), Samuel, Bob (Judy), and Harold, her sisters-in-law; Margaret and Senora, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Lily was predeceased by her husband; William (Bill), Victor May the one she considered her son, her parents; Neil and Alice Collett, her brothers; Douglas, and Edward, sisters; Grace and Effie, father-in-law; Reuben Perry, and mother-in-law; Mathilda (Perry) Payne, brothers-in-law; Clarence (Margaret), Don (Bessie), and Christopher (Viola), sister-in-law; Louise, and a special uncle; Chesley Hull.
Lily loved her family and friends dearly and a great love for her Church and Community.
The family will be receiving family and friends at The Holy Cross, Anglican Church in Daniel’s Hr, NL, on Monday, August 19th, 2019 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, and continuing on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 from the hours of 10 am – 2:00 pm, where also the funeral service will take from on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 at 4:00 pm, with Rev Terry Rose officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery, in Daniel’s Hr, NL.
As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Holy Cross, Anglican Church, in Daniel’s Hr, NL, in Lily’ memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

A special thank-you to the staff at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, whom provided exceptional care, her home care workers, when she lived at home, Ruby House who spent countless hours with her, and Gerald Humber who visit her. Whenever he went to the hospital and brought her bake apples she loved, Rev Terry Rose, and to all who visited (she loved Visitors’) Thank- You!
