HILTZ, Lawrence Vincent ~ age 77 of Aylesford, NS passed away peacefully on August 28, 2019 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville after a brief illness. Born in Harmony, NS he was a son of the late Vincent and Nola (Crocker) Hiltz. Lawrence drove truck all his life for Dicksons Transfer, Larsens and David Brown Ltd until his retirement. He also was an avid carpenter and was able to build homes for each of his children. He is survived by his wife Linda (nee Foster); son, Stephen (Judy) Hiltz, Victoria Vale; daughters, Sandra (Darrell) McGarvie, Morden; Mary Louise (Glen) Johnson, Aylesford; grandchildren Stephanie Hiltz, Coldbrook; Lisa-Marie McGarvie, Aylesford; Melissa Dempsey, South Alton; Lacey Hiltz, New Minas; Emma Johnson, Moncton; Katie Hiltz, Belfast, PEI; Keri Johnson, Kingston; great grandchildren Austin, Logan, Sophia, Mason, Kennedy, Walker, Keegan; sisters, Barbara Cummings and Bernice Clarke, both of USA. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister Betty; brother Gordon and granddaughter Morgan. In keeping with Lawrence’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00PM-4:00PM Monday, September 2, 2019 in the Aylesford & District Fire Hall, 1083 Park Street. Donations in memory may be made to Carey-Me Fund, Supporting Palliative Care in the Home or Canadian Red Cross.
