It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mom, Doreen Margaret Laroche.
She passed peacefully on August 5th, 2019 at ARH in Abbotsford. She is survived by her 3 children, Rick Jean, Randy Jean (Colleen) and Tami Watt (Jim), 5 Grandchildren, Jeff and Justin Jean, Sean, Megan and Amy Watt and 2 great grandchildren Jordyn Jean and Isaac Jean.
We were blessed to have her as our mother and grandmother. Mom dedicated her life to us and to giving to others. Her wide smile and cheerful Hello! made all feel welcome. She was known by many names such as Cookie Grandma, Grandma Dodo and Goalie Grandma to name a few. She took many people under her wing that would call her Mom. She cared for people and animals alike, a volunteer through and through.
Mom was an example of what we all strived to be in life. Loving, caring and non judgemental and always watching out for the underdog. Family was her love of life and would welcome any visitors or occasion to celebrate with her family. This gave her great comfort.
She will be missed but her legend will go on in us and our children.
A special thank you to the staff in the Cardiac Care Unit at ARH. We appreciate how well you took care of Mom.
Love you long time Mom, rest in peace and enjoy your time with Elvis.
Celebration of Life will be held at Quality Hotel, Saturday, August 17th, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
36035 North Parallel Rd, Abbotsford
Cheers to Mom to follow at 4:00 pm, Sneakers Pub – 2550 Yale Crt, Abbotsford
Mom’s wishes in lieu of flowers please donate the Abbotsford SPCA.
