Kenneth Ken Gaunt

Kenneth “Ken” Earl Gaunt, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover Care Centre, Hanover on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. He was 80.
Born in Brampton to the late Earl and Olive (nee Lyon) Gaunt. Ken owned and operated his own Bakery Business in Hanover, serving many happy customers with custom orders for birthday cakes, wedding and anniversary cakes. He would work tirelessly on his creations and became known for his treats. In his spare time, he was a leader with Boy Scouts, guiding young members throughout their successes and badges earned for 24 years. Ken and Marg enjoyed being members of the Happy Twirlers Square Dancers often dancing till all hours of the night until their feet hurt.
Survived by devoted wife Margaret “Marg” (nee Morrow) Gaunt of Hanover, sons Michael (Joy) Gaunt of Cold Lake, Alberta and Randy Gaunt of Markdale . Loved grandfather of Mackenzie, Caleb, Sean and Richard and great grandfather of Victor, Jasmine and Cali. Dear brother of Faye Dalrymple of Seaforth, brother in law of David (Janet) Morrow of Lions Head and sister in law May Walpole of Chesley.
Visitation will be at Grace United Church, Hanover on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 9:30 am until time of a Funeral Service at 11 am. Rev. Cathy Paul officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or ALS Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
