January 22, 1939 – August 13, 2019
Ken Hicks, aged 80 years, of Saskatoon and formerly Simpson, SK passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. Ken was predeceased by his parents Helen and Lorne Hicks; his son Ronald in infancy; sister and brother-in-law Pat and Stan Currie; brothers Don and Howard; sister Donna and son-in-law Kelvin Lamont. Ken leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 58 years, Carol; children Cathy (Brian), Michael (Charlene), Suzy, Gary (Heather), Bill (Marni), twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in the Simpson Community Centre, Simpson, SK on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Rheal Bussiere officiating. Private Family Interment in Simpson Cemetery. A Memorial Reception for friends and family will follow in the Simpson Community Centre.
