Obituary of Julia Badgley
Badgley, Julia Irene – passed away at Marianhill, Pembroke on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in her 86th year.
Julia Badgley (nee Mitchell) of Petawawa, wife of the late Dan Badgley. Dear mother of Karen Rath (Leslie), Medicine Hat; Jocelyn Levesque (late Jocelyn), Winnipeg; Wendy Kilpatrick (Alister), Ireland; Sherry Duval, Pembroke; Gloria Perry, Ottawa; Willie Gibson, Vancouver; Gary Gibson (Sue), Pembroke; and predeceased by daughter Pennie Legare. Cherished grandmother to her 23 grandchildren, and her many great- and great-great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Vernon and Helen Mitchell (nee Clements); and sister to Geraldine Brothers (late Garfield), Shirley Jackson (late Leonard), Alan & the late Doug Mitchell. Also survived by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Special thanks to the staff at Pinewood Residence and Marianhill B-wing for their kindness and care during Mom’s stay.
Respecting Julia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her life will be held in the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home Chapel, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.)
