Joesph Tilley – Tuesday, May 1, 1934 – Wednesday, August 14, 2019
Joseph Tilley originally of Summerville, moved to Glenwood in 1974; passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander on August 14, 2019 at the age of 85 years.
Joe was predeceased by his parents, William & Blanche Tilley, 4 brothers; Hall, Randolph, William & Robert, 6 sisters; Susan ,Yvonne, Rita, Elsie, Leone & Daphne.
Joe was an avid story-teller and never missed an oppourtunity to share a story with anyone who was willing to sit and listen to his wise words and wisdom. He especially loved his potato & strawberry gardens, as well as, sitting down and playing his guitar; it was always a part of the Tilley Family Christmas Eve Tradition.
Joe will be remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 61 years, Bernice. Children; Cindy (Fred), Dave, Randy (Lisa), Barry (Patty), Linda (Don), Bob (Stacey). Seven grandchildren; Nikki, Christopher, Tracy, Kristy, Steven, Clifford & Finley. Seven great-grandchildren; Carter, Noah, Greyson, Connor, Tilley, Joel & Penelope.
Joe also leaves behind a large circle of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A private visitation and funeral service will take place from Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander
The Tilley Family would like to extend a special thank you to his doctors; Dr. Casey & Dr. Seety and the wonderful nurses that took care of him and made him comfortable during his stay at the hospital.
