JOHN HARRIS TEALL
(1934 – 2019)
Peacefully at his home in Vienna surrounded by the love of his family, John Harris Teall, lifelong resident of Vienna, passed away at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of the Late Mary (Thurston) Teall (2006). Proud and loving father of his three sons, Rob (Sandra) of Tillsonburg, Keith (Cathy) of Vienna and Gord of St. Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Brandon), Danielle (Tyler), Brandon, Deidre, Jessica, Cassandra, Darlene, David, Jeff (Caley) and several great-grandchildren. Loving companion of Arvilla Beckett of Vienna and brother-in-law of Wilma Smithson of Tillsonburg. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Hazel (Johnson) Teall, his brother George Teall and sisters Marie Patterson and Wilma Huber. Harris farmed in the Vienna area all his life. He was involved with the Edison Museum, the Bayham Historical Society and the Vienna United Church. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him and never forgotten. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The Funeral Service for Harris will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11:00 am with Doris Vandeneeckout (LLWL) and Rev. Norman Jones officiating. Private family interment will follow at Smuck Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital – Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the Teall family.
