John Drouillard
Died peacefully in the presence of his loving family on August 12, 2019 at 89 years of age. Beloved husband of 68 years to Rita (nee Seguin). Loving father of the late Penny (2003), Bob (Tricia), Mike (Judy), Pat Mommersteeg (Fred), and Nanette (Kevin Murphy). Cherished Grandpa to Ashley, Chelsey, Jennifer Jobin (Phil), Jessica Guzman (José), Adam (Meagan), Benjamin and Amie Mommersteeg, Lia, Daniel and Allison Nirta and great-grandpa to Alex and Julia Jobin, Elijah and Isla Guzman and Theo Mommersteeg.
John retired from the Drouillard Home Hardware in Tecumseh in 1987 after 47 years in the hardware business. He proudly served the Town of Tecumseh Public Utilities for 29 years. John was a 4th degree member of the Rt. Rev. W. J. Langlois Assembly 1789 and the Fr. Nicholas Point Council 4375 (Tecumseh) Knights of Columbus. He was on the original Board of Directors for Windsor Association of Retarded Children which helped to build Churchwood School. If you so desire, donations to Community Living Es County for Transportation Department would be appreciated. Special thanks to Brouillette Manor staff for John’s excellent care.
Visitation Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. K of C prayers Tuesday 7:30 p.m. at FAMILIES FIRST, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Wednesday, August 14, 2019 family and friends are invited to meet at Good Shepherd Church, 462 Advance Blvd. for visitation from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment St. Anne Cemetery, Tecumseh.
