2019
Jens Pedersen
Born in Borjerg Denmark in 1930, to Christian and Agnetia, he was raised on a farm with his siblings Egan, Karen, Johanna (predeceased) and survived by siblings Engrid (Olaf), Osa, Fred (Edit). His children Annie in Spain, Allen in Denmark, Susan (Richard) of Buffalo, and Kim (Jeanette) of Espanola and many grandchildren he loved dearly. Also predeceased by his grandson Rune. Lovingly missed by his partner Helen Richards and family.
Jens worked on farms in his youth and moved to Copenhagen in his 20s. He got married and worked in the shipyards and as a taxi driver before he immigrated to Canada in 1974.
He worked in Toronto supplying fresh vegetables to markets until 1975 when he began working as a heavy equipment mechanic for Campbell Brothers. He really enjoyed his job and all the people that he met.
After an injury led to early retirement, Jens settled in the home he built on the Minaki Highway in 1985. He spent his retirement hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and attending the local dances with Helen. They had many adventures visiting his family overseas and a cruise ship to Alaska.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jens Pedersen 2019..
