Obituary of Janet Lois Kilkenny
Jan passed away peacefully at home in Regina, SK on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 surrounded by her family. Her loving husband Jim; her daughter Jaclyn with her husband Will Whitten, their children Evie and Ciaran and her daughter Jamie with her husband Elliott DeBolt will miss Jan dearly. Jan will also be missed by her brother Don Hamilton, his wife Lise; her sister-in-law Denise Swanson; brother-in-law Pat Kilkenny, nephews and nieces: Ryan Hamilton (Tia), Drew Bailey (Ron), Maureen Alix (Darren), Bob and Justin Hamilton and their children. Jan was predeceased by her brother Jim Hamilton; her father Bill Hamilton, his wife Eileen and her mother Jacqueline Hamilton. Although Jan was small in stature her impact on the world was large and she will be missed by a countless number of people. As such, a reception of remembrance will be held in Jan’s honour at the Delta Hotel, 1919 Saskatchewan Drive, Regina, SK on Sunday, August 25, 2019 starting at 3:00 p.m. There will be a short formal ceremony followed by sharing of stories, memories, food and drink. In lieu of flowers, family and friends so wishing, may make a memorial donation in Jan’s name either to Regina Palliative Care Inc., Regina Humane Society or to their charity of choice.
