“Wes” Williston
James “Wes” Williston, 86, of Moncton,
passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, August 24,
2019.
Born in Black River Bridge, NB, he was the son of the
late Joseph and Hilda (Williston) Williston. Wes started off
his career as an Accountant with CNR and retired within the private
sector. He was a former member of the Moncton Elks Club and
loved spending time at his camp, especially during hunting season and
enjoyed four wheeling, fishing and
hunting.
Wes will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 43
years, Sandra June (Lounsbury); son, Craig Williston and daughter,
Cynthia (Brian); K-9 companion, Billy, who he thought the world of;
children from his previous marriage, Glen, Judy, Keith and Kevin;
several grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; Wes was
the last surviving member of his immediate family. In
addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Byron,
Aubrey, Blair and Ivan; sister, Ruby
Price.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain
Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to
9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Wes`s life will be held
from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 1:00
pm. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception
Centre. Interment to be held in Fair Haven Memorial
Gardens.
In memory of Wes, donations to the Friends of the
Moncton Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care) or Canadian Cancer
Society would be appreciated.
