1922-2019
DISHER HERB … At the Charlotte County Hospital on Wednesday,
August 15th, 2019; Herbert Stanley Disher, husband of Geraldine
(Stoddard) Disher of Chamcook, NB. Born in Moulton Township, ON, he is
the son of the late George Washington & Ida (Dusenbury)
Disher.
Herbert dedicated 24 years of his life to the ministry in
Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces. In 1970 he married
Geraldine Merchant and began working for Irving Pulp and Paper in Lake
Utopia until his retirement in 1987.
Surviving in addition to his wife Geraldine are his 3 daughters
Roma (Bayfield) Bigelow of Charlottetown, PEI, Ruth Disher (Nasir
Sherkhan) of ON, Maxine Disher of St. Stephen, NB, 3 sons, Gerald
(Marilyn) and Raymond (Heather) all of St. Stephen, NB and Malcolm
(Darlene) of Grand Prairie, AB, 18 grandchildren, 43 great
grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Herb was predeceased by 2 sisters Hazel and Beatrice and 2
brothers Garfield & Lloyd.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Friday
from 6:00 pm … 9:00 pm at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks
Street, St. Stephen, NB. There will also be a time of visitation with
the family on Saturday at the Bayside Hall from 12:30 … 1:30
pm.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17th, 2019 at
2:00 pm at Bayside Community Hall. The interment will follow in St.
Andrews Rural Cemetery, followed by a reception back at the Bayside
Community Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of one’s choice
would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences to the family
