Passed away peacefully at the age of 97 years at Extendicare, Tecumseh on August 27, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Zimmerman (2007) and the late Dorothea (1981). Cherished father of Greig and wife Janet Zimmerman (2009), Ronald and wife Elaine Zimmerman. Loved son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Zimmerman. Treasured grandfather of Jaime, Meighen, Lorraine and Charlene. Proud great grandfather of James MacLellan and Roman Lepera. Henry retired from Ontario Hydro in 1982 after 34 years of service. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Royal Canadian Navy and a member of the Windsor Yacht Club. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor-Es Cancer Centre Foundation or Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place and he will be interred at Victoria Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Families First 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
