Canzano, Helen Josephine (nee Burke).
Peacefully late Monday, August 26th, 2019 in her 103rd year. Born in Brampton on January 19th, 1917, Helen grew up in Toronto’s historic College Street neighbourhood.
Beloved wife of the late Cosmo “Cossie” Canzano for 60 years. Loving mother of John and his wife Juanita and of Carol and her husband David Hamala. Devoted and proud Grandma of Tiffany Noelle (Russel Drew), Paul Anthony and James John. Dear sister of Margaret Bernier. Predeceased by her loving son, Michael, her parents Michael and Gertrude, and by her sister Mary Corcoran.
A heart-felt thank you to all the caring nurses and staff of the Norfinch Care Community in North York. A very special thank you to Regina, Claudette, Bernadette and Dr. Giddens.
A funeral Mass and interment service has taken place. In memory of Helen memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers’ Society of Canada
Helen was a loving wife and mother and a devoted grandmother who celebrated family. She was loved dearly by many and will be sorely missed.
