Hazel Augusta Thomas
November 25, 1914 – July 31, 2019
Hazel Augusta (Sellick) Thomas left this world on July 31, 2019.
She had been here nearly 105 years and was ready to go.
She was a Christ-follower.
We, her family, will miss her, but are happy that she’s now walking the streets of heaven.
It doesn’t get better than that!
She is survived by her sons, Ron (Shirley) Thomas, Raye (Alexa) Thomas and daughter, Norma (Ray) Patterson; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many step-grandchildren.
Hazel was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her parents, Millage and Lucy Ann (Hoar) Sellick; her husband of 54 years, Stanley Thomas; six brothers, Lester (Gertie), Lloyd (Gertrude), Everett (Beryl), Milton, Scott (Ruby) and Eldon (Agnes) Sellick.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Journey Wesleyan Church at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 10, 2019.
A reception will follow.
Interment will be in Cross Creek Baptist Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Frederick Hall for their excellent care as well as Pastor Peter Thomas and Wayne Cliff for their loving attention during her stay.
