Always and forever in our hearts, Joseph Harold Lessard passed away after a short illness on August 9th 2019 with family by his side at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario. He is pre-deceased by his first wife Nancy Lessard and dearly loved and survived by his wife Norma Ann Lessard of Guelph. Harold is pre-deceased by his parents Leo and Eileen Lessard and sister June Butler. Survived by sister Eva Hawley of BC, Marion (Sam) Miller of Calgary, Sharon Miller of Roundhill, Atl., his children Rick (Margaret) of Guelph, Lori of Kingston, Karen (Dave) Ellis of Kingston, Joanne (Tony) Reid of Guelph and Laura Lee May of Peterborough. Proud grandfather of his 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, the boys Buddy & Rusty, and many friends. A Special thank-you is extended to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Grand River Hospital in Kitchener.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request a memorial donation made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A brief visitation for family and friends will be held at Milestone Funeral Home in Northbrook on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 11am to 1:45pm followed with a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Flinton at 2pm. Reception to follow at the Flinton Hall.
