Gwen’s Obituary
Little, Dorothy Gwendolyn “Gwen” – 82, Parkland, Truro and formerly of Wentworth, passed away with her family by her side Thursday, August 15th, 2019 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Mansfield, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Flora (Patriquin) Little. Together with her husband, Wendell, they owned and operated W.R. Little General Store for over 20 years. She enjoyed quilting, music, cards and spending time with family. Gwen was a long time member of Wentworth United Church and UCW. She was a committed volunteer with Canadian Red Cross and Canadian Cancer Society. Gwen was a valued member of the Wentworth community for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Abbey) Aucoin, Valley; son, Leigh (Tammy Cook), Truro; grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley Aucoin, Colby and Riley Little; sisters, Martha (Garth) Wilson , New Annan; Sylvia (Fred) Thompson, Portugal Cove/St. Philips, NL; brother, Cecil (Marilyn) Patriquin, Edmonton, AB; sisters in law Linda (Gary) Bickerton and Ida Murray; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Wendell and brother Delmer. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm October 12th, 2019 in Wentworth United Church. if desired donations to Alzheimer Canada or a charity of your choice.
