With great courage, on Monday, August 26, 2019, in Langley, B.C. Devoted husband of Marion. Loving father of Sarah. Adored grandfather of Emma and Kate. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Carol and the late Leonard Berall, and Rickey. Shiva at Carol’s home, on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Contributions in Gerald’s memory may be made to the JEM Workshop, (514) 735-4217.

  1. Deeply saddened to read of the passing of Gerry Blitstein. Studied photography under Gerry at Capilano College and with the Nikon School of Photography. Gerry was hugely influential on many levels. Wonderful instructor and a genuinely warm human being. Gerry left a lifelong positive impression and definitely changed the direction of my life. I hope his family has many treasured memories of good times with Gerry.
