Gerald Selin

SELIN, Gerald
It is with profound sadness that the family of Gerald Selin announce his death on August 27, 2019. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marlene, of 61 years, his children Curtis (Leslie) Selin, Roanne (Greg) Bodnarchuk and Brent (Colleen) Selin, his grandchildren Alix, Jesse, Halle, Riley, Kaelan, Alyssa and Carlee. Gerald was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Charlotte Selin, his brothers Stanley Selin and Orville (Bud) Selin, Marlene’s parents, Les & Irene Childs, and his brother-in-law Ola Hegseth. Gerald was a teacher at Mount Royal Collegiate for 30 years, but the most important aspect of his life was his family. Gerald loved his wife dearly and was very proud of his children, Curtis, Roanne and Brent and all of his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his quiet and caring ways, sense of humour and love of family, nature and the outdoors. The “Celebration of Life” for Gerald will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 812 Preston Avenue, Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Hospital, the Saskatoon SPCA or to Redeemer Lutheran Church. A private family interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
