Gerald Bruce McLean

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Bruce McLean, on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the age of 80 years.
Bruce will always be remembered by his loving family, wife of 60 years, Claudette; three children, Brian (Nancy), Greg (Ruth), and Michele (Frank); grandson, Cameron; step grandsons, Scott, Luke and Sean; brother, Vic (Pat); as well as extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rusty and Vi.
Bruce led an active life with his family and friends, both before and during retirement. He had a great sense of adventure, and he travelled in unconventional ways, walking the world! Bruce will be remembered by those close to him for his sense of humour and playfulness. Many will miss his kind, helpful manner, as well as his enthusiastic discussions.
A Special Thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the University of Alberta Hospital Emergency and Unit 5E3 for their care and support of Bruce and his family during his final stay.
A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will take place on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 2:00PM at Connelly-McKinley Edmonton South Chapel, 4820 Meridian St. NW, Edmonton, followed immediately by an afternoon reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bruce may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
