George Robert Chapman
It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Robert Chapman announces his passing, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, August 25, 2019,at the North Haven Manor at Lewisporte, age 77 years, of Hermitage, formerly of McCallum.
George leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Mary; step sons, Baxter (Cathy) at Ontario and Tony at Carmanville; step daughter, Sue Ellen Coles (Danny) at Seal Cove, F. B.; very special grand daughter, Nicole; brothers, John (Ruby), Jim (Cathy), Tom (Shirley), Winston (Rodena) and Earlin (Karen); sisters, Ivy (John), Nina (Dave), Ester, Olive (Sidney) and Hilda (John); plus a number of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Sarah Chapman and brother in law, Thomas Carter.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm from St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Robynn Toal officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Hermitage-Sandyville.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, McCallum or St. Saviour’s Anglican Church, Hermitage-Sandyville.
The Family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Health Care and Home Support workers for their thoughtful support and kindness over the past few months.
