George Brian Kelly

It is with great sadness
that we announce the passing of
George Brian Kelly
On Monday, August 19, 2019, George passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was 79 years of age. He was born in Ottawa, September 8, 1939. George was predeceased by his mother Edna and father Norman, brother Ronald and sister Gail. He is survived by his loving wife Pierrette, brothers Bill and Richard and his children Brian (Laura) and Mark (Julie). George was a proud Grandpa to Vanessa (Connor & Cameron), Melissa, Shauna (Maycee), Schae, Codey and CoryAnne; a loving uncle to Mike and Kathy. George will always be remembered for his love for his children and grandchildren, horses and his wife’s apple pie.
A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, George’s professional career was as a concrete inspector with Canada Cement for over 20 years, followed by the creation of one of Ottawa’s local sign business, Kelly Signs.
George loved family celebrations and opportunities to come together. On Sunday, September 8, 2019 between the hours of 2 pm and 5 pm, a celebration of life will take place at the Russell Legion ( 24 Legion Ln, Russell, Ontario), which will be an opportunity for friends and family to come together to reminisce and share stories to honour his memory.
