It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Fred Mac Kenzie on Sunday, Aug.25 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Fred was the son of the late Frederick and Mildred (Boutilier) MacKenzie of River Ryan. In his early years he worked in the mines but later became a proud member of Local 325, Plumbers and Pipefitters and travelled across Canada working at various construction sites.
