Everett R Dunfield
1931-2019
It is with sadness that the family of Everett Dunfield
announce his passing at Windsor Court on Friday, August 16, 2019.
Everett was the son of the late Ora and Bertha (Harper)
Dunfield.
Everett spent 25 years as the head librarian of the
engineering library at UNB. He helped develop and pioneer an early
digital library system while there. He was an active member of the
Brunswick Street Baptist Church for many years and volunteered with
several organizations, as well as being a dedicated blood donor. He
will be mostly remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and
friend.
Everett will be missed by his sons Dwight (Kari Beyea) and
Duane (Nancy Gaudet); his grandchildren Alexandra, Erik and Siennah;
his brothers Guy (Betty) and Vaughn (Shirley); his sister Helen Beaman
(Paul); his brother-in-law Tennesea Schwetz; sisters-in-law Donna
Myers and Donna Myers-Rafuse (Max) as well as several in-laws,
cousins, nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the loving, caring staff at Windsor
Court.
In addition to his parents, Everett is predeceased by his
loving wife Marlene (Myers) Dunfield and his sisters Sara Loundsbury
and Irene Schwetz.
There will be a visitation at McAdam’s Funeral
Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, NB on Monday, August 19, 2019 from
4:00 – 7:00 pm. There will be a memorial service at the
Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 2:00
pm. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations to the
Fredericton Community Kitchens or the Canadian Alzheimer’s
