BARNES, Ena Mabel
Peacefully in Stittsville on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the age of 89. Born in St. John’s, NL on September 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jessie (nee Laing) Hammond. Predeceased by her husband Frederick Barnes, her son Keith Barnes and her brother Gerald Hammond. She is survived by her “little sister” Joyce (David Schock), her niece Sheri-Lyn Schock, her nephew Steven (Lindsay) Schock, her great-nephew Andrew and her great-niece Kyla. Special thanks to the caring staff at Granite Ridge Care Community. Family and friends may pay respects at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre – 2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa, on Thursday, August 29, 2019 after 10:00 a.m. A Service in Memory of Ena will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ena can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
