Rasmussen, Elizabeth Mary (nee: Hergott)
Passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the age of 71.
Liz is survived by her daughter Leslie (Marty Van Lanen), and her three sons; Paul (Tina Lorentz), Dave (Caroline Lorentz), and Mike (Mary Lorentz). Liz was a grandmother to Grace and Brody, Liam and Claire, Carlie and Josh and Seanna. Survived by her sister Anita (Bob Weiler), and sister-in-law Norma Hergott along with several nieces and nephews. Liz was predeceased by her husband Keith Rasmussen and her brother John Hergott and her parents Ray and Mildred Hergott.
Liz grew up in Maryhill, Ontario and raised her four children with her ex-husband Ron Lorentz. There are
many fond memories of gatherings and joyous occasions with the Lorentz and Hergott families. Later
in life, Liz met Keith Rasmussen and her passion turned to boating and enjoying running several
restaurants; in Simcoe, Cambridge, and more recently in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. Liz enjoyed life and was
looking forward to retiring from the restaurant business and spending more time with her family at her
trailer and her place in Florida.
Liz spent the last couple of years with her companion, John Wally. They enjoyed travelling together and
spending many hours on the water boating the Trent-Severn.
