Elizabeth Beth McIntrye nee Tennant

Elizabeth “Beth”‘s Obituary
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019 Beth departed this world at the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. She died peacefully, enveloped by the unconditional love of her family. She continues her journey with her late husband Norman and parents Robert and Mae Tennant. Left behind to mourn their loss and carry on Beth’s legacy are her daughter Eileen Leslie (Dave), son Eric (Shelly Dunn) and grandchildren Erin Leslie (Brendan Conway) and Ryan Leslie (Evelyne Gauvin). Words alone are not enough to express the appreciation that we have for Erin and Brendan, who provided Beth with the means to extend her ability to live independently this past year, and to Ryan, who was with her for an extended period when Norman passed away and was able to help his grandmother with that transition. As well, Beth was blessed to have many caring friends that have provided much needed additional support. Each one of you will hold a place in our hearts forever. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their families, all of whom were so much a part of her life and so very important to her. Please join us in celebrating Beth’s life on Sunday, August 25 at Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 MacArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, ON. Visitation from 1-2 pm followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 2 pm. In memory of Beth, please consider donating to the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital or to your favorite charity.
